Therapy is a long term process...creating a change in beliefs, lifestyle, ideas or habits is not an overnight process. It requires patience, commitment and persistence. Most importantly it requires introspection and resilience. Often these are buried beneath the surface. There are many qualities buried within us all and waiting for the right time to emerge...the digging within ourselves with a reliable therapist is often an enjoyable journey into the self. Often times this is the only time where you find yourself giving 100% attention to your own thoughts and belief system, which dictates your actions. It is true that therapy requires courage. Often times it will open your eyes to new truths and if you are lucky to a new life ahead.
